1CFT Funded Account – What It Is and How It Works

A 1CFT funded account is an account made available in the funded phase to someone who meets the requirements of the relevant programme. Basic requires completion of two evaluation stages, Advanced requires one, while VIP lets users start without taking a Challenge first.

What Is a 1CFT Funded Account?

In the 1CFT prop trading model, this is not the trader’s private brokerage account. Users do not deposit their own investment capital into it, nor do they receive the displayed balance as their property. The balance indicates the scale of trading and the levels used to calculate limits.

Traders operate under 1CFT’s rules and may receive a share of a positive result under the profit split. However, access to the account does not guarantee a profit or a payout. Keeping the account requires continued compliance with loss limits and the programme’s other terms.

A 1CFT funded account is part of the prop trading programme and is available in the funded phase. Traders receive the details needed to use the account and may place trades within the limits set by the company. They do not, however, own the amount represented by the displayed balance.

Under the agreement, the capital in such an account may be nominal. This means that the value used to determine trading scale and limits may not match the amount actually deposited with a broker working with the operator. Traders cannot withdraw the starting balance. They may only claim their share of positive results.

To give a fuller answer to “What is 1CFT?”, it is important to distinguish this service from a traditional brokerage account. 1CFT does not accept client deposits, and the programme fee is not capital invested on the user’s behalf. The company provides access to an evaluation process and, after the relevant conditions are met, to the funded phase.

1CFT sets account rules covering, among other things, maximum daily and overall loss, permitted strategies and how results are settled. The profit target that applies during evaluation is not required in the funded phase, but the other limits still apply. Breaching them may result in account closure.

The main benefit of this model is the opportunity to trade at a scale greater than the fee paid for the programme. Users are also not required to repay losses incurred on a funded account. In return, they pay a fee, must follow the rules and risk losing access to the account without receiving a payout.

A funded account therefore does not mean unrestricted access to company funds. It is conditional access to an account where results may be shared between the trader and 1CFT under the rules of the specific option.

How Can You Get a 1CFT Funded Account?

The standard route to the funded phase starts with choosing a programme. Basic has two evaluation stages, while Advanced has one. Users also choose an account balance, which affects the fee, profit target and limits, among other things. Compare the full terms before purchasing, as they are not the same across all options.

  1. Activating the programme

After paying a one-time fee, users receive access to a simulated account. The fee is not an investment deposit and does not add to the balance. It provides access to the selected evaluation programme.

  1. Completing the Challenge

The 1CFT Challenge requires traders to reach a specified profit target without exceeding the maximum daily or overall loss. They must also follow restrictions on how trades may be placed. How the 1CFT Challenge works depends on the plan and balance selected, so check the parameters for the specific account before starting.

  1. Completing the required stages

In Basic, passing the first stage does not yet provide access to the funded phase. Traders proceed to a second evaluation with a separate target and limits. In Advanced, successfully completing one stage allows the trader to proceed to the verification before a funded account is granted.

  1. Reviewing the result

Once the requirements are met, the result is reviewed. Passing a 1CFT Challenge therefore means not only reaching the target, but also avoiding rule breaches throughout the evaluation. Breaching a limit may end the programme regardless of the result achieved earlier.

  1. Moving to the funded phase

After completing the required number of stages and having the result accepted, traders may receive credentials for a funded account. This is not a payout or a transfer of capital into their ownership. From this point, users may generate results that can be shared, but risk limits continue to apply.

The VIP path is different. It does not require a Challenge first and starts at the stage labelled as funded. The higher fee replaces the evaluation process, but does not waive the limits. This is important to understanding how 1CFT works: the route to a funded account depends on the programme, and a Challenge is required for Basic and Advanced, but not for VIP.

How Does a 1CFT Funded Account Work After Passing the Challenge?

The main objective changes once the trader enters the funded phase. They no longer need to reach the profit target set for the Challenge. Their task is to trade within the limits and generate a positive result that may be shared with the company.

The following rules still apply:

  • Maximum daily and overall loss limits;
  • Permitted strategies and trading methods;
  • Use of the account only by the authorised user;
  • No exploiting platform errors or delays;
  • Maintaining the account in active status.

Limits depend on the option and balance. For example, in the Basic funded phase, maximum overall loss is 8% and daily loss is 4%. In Advanced, the respective limits are 6% and 5%. Most VIP configurations use a 6% overall limit and a 4% daily limit, but selected accounts have different parameters. Check the rules assigned to your account before trading.

The 1CFT profit split determines the trader’s share of a positive result. In Basic, Advanced and most VIP options, the standard ratio is 80/20: the trader may receive 80%, while the company retains 20%. One VIP configuration offers a 90/10 split.

A 1CFT profit split does not guarantee a payout. The account must first generate a positive result and remain active, and the trader must meet the data-verification requirements. The agreement states that payout requests are handled on request, but may not be submitted more than once every 30 days.

After a payout, both the trader’s share and the company’s share are settled. The starting balance is not available for withdrawal because it represents the account size, not money belonging to the user. A rule breach may result in account closure and loss of the opportunity to receive further shares of results.

The funded phase allows positive results to be settled, but it does not eliminate risk. Traders may fail to generate a positive result, breach a limit or lose access to the account before submitting a successful payout request.

A 1CFT funded account is an account available in the funded phase, where traders may generate results that can be shared with the company. It is not a private brokerage account, and its balance is not transferred to the user as their property.

Access to the funded phase requires completion of two Challenge stages in Basic or one in Advanced. VIP allows users to start without an earlier evaluation. Regardless of the path, traders must continue to comply with loss limits and the programme’s other rules.
