What Is 1CFT and How Does It Work?

The shortest answer to “What is 1CFT?” is that it is a platform offering paid programmes that assess traders’ skills under a prop trading model. It does not operate like a traditional broker, accept investment deposits or maintain ordinary brokerage accounts. Users choose a programme, access a simulated account and place trades under specified rules.

What Does 1CFT Offer Traders?

The 1CFT prop trading model follows a Challenge-to-funded-account path. During the Challenge, traders must reach the required result without exceeding loss limits. After meeting the requirements for their chosen option, they may progress to the funded account stage and become eligible for a share of any results they generate.

This does not mean that the account balance is transferred to the user as their property or that a payout is guaranteed. Progression depends on meeting the programme conditions, and keeping the account requires continued compliance with risk-management rules. Below, we explain what 1CFT offers, how the Challenge works and what happens after passing it.

1CFT offers several paid programmes that assess trading skills. Users can choose the Basic, Advanced or VIP plan and the account balance associated with it. The options differ in the number of stages, fee, targets, loss limits, leverage and trade-monitoring rules.

The 1CFT Challenge is an evaluation stage conducted on a simulated account. Traders place trades to reach a specified profit target, while also staying within the maximum daily and overall loss limits. Passing the Challenge therefore depends on meeting all requirements, not merely generating a positive result.

The number of evaluation stages depends on the programme. Basic requires two stages before the funded phase. Advanced has one evaluation stage, while VIP lets users start at the stage described as funded. A more expensive programme may shorten the process, but it does not remove risk limits or other rules.

A 1CFT funded account is made available after the requirements for the selected option have been met. There is no profit target at this stage, but traders must still comply with loss limits. The account balance determines the scale of trading and how limits are calculated, but it is not an amount transferred to the user as their property. Under the agreement, it may be nominal and differ from the actual funds deposited with a broker working with the company.

The offer includes trading in forex, stocks, indices, commodities and cryptocurrencies. 1CFT allows different trading styles, including discretionary trading, hedging and automated systems. However, the rules prohibit practices such as exploiting platform errors or delays, arbitrage between accounts and using external strategies marketed specifically for passing evaluation programmes.

1CFT therefore provides an evaluation process, a trading platform, several account options and the possibility of receiving a share of positive results. It does not provide a traditional investment account or guarantee that a user will pass the Challenge or receive a payout.

How Does the 1CFT Challenge Work Step by Step?

To understand how the 1CFT Challenge works, it helps to separate programme selection, meeting the requirements and verification of the result. The Challenge is not a competition between users. Each trader works towards the objectives assigned to their own account and may progress after meeting all requirements.

  • Choosing a programme and balance

Users select Basic or Advanced, choose an account balance and pay a one-time fee. Before purchasing, they should check the profit target, maximum daily and overall loss, leverage, duration and any minimum number of trading days required by the plan. These parameters differ between options.

  • Starting to trade on a simulated account

After the Challenge is activated, traders receive account credentials. They can trade the available instruments using a permitted strategy. The participation fee is not a deposit or a balance for trading.

  • Reaching the target without breaching limits

Passing a 1CFT Challenge is not simply a matter of reaching the profit target. Traders must also keep daily and overall losses within the permitted limits and follow the other rules. Breaching a limit may end the stage regardless of earlier results.

  • Completing the required stages

In Basic, passing the first stage is followed by a second evaluation stage. Advanced allows traders to move to the funded phase after completing one stage. VIP is not a conventional Challenge because it starts with the option labelled as funded by the platform.

  • Verification and progression

Once the requirements are met, the result is subject to verification. Successfully completing the required stages makes it possible to progress to a funded account. This is not an automatic payout or a transfer of the balance into the trader’s ownership; the trader may continue under the programme rules.

In practice, how 1CFT works depends on the selected plan. In every option, both trading results and compliance with the rules matter.

What Happens After Passing the 1CFT Challenge?

After completing the required stages and passing the result verification, traders may receive credentials for the funded phase. A 1CFT funded account is not a cash prize or a bank account containing funds available for withdrawal. It is the next stage of the programme, where users trade under the company’s terms.

The main change is the objective. In the funded phase, traders no longer need to meet the profit target required during evaluation. They remain subject to loss limits, strategy rules and the agreement. Breaching the terms may lead to account closure and loss of the right to continue in the programme.

The funded account balance determines the scale at which traders can operate and the levels used to calculate limits. It does not become their property. The 1CFT agreement states that the capital may be nominal and need not match the amount actually deposited with a broker. Traders may only claim the share of positive results due to them.

The 1CFT profit split is the proportion in which results are divided between the trader and the company. Most options currently shown use an 80/20 model: 80% goes to the trader and 20% to the company. One option offers a 90% share to the trader, so the terms of the specific account always apply.

A 1CFT profit split does not guarantee a payout. To request one, traders must generate a positive result, keep the account active and meet the data-verification requirements. Under the agreement, payout requests may be submitted no more than once every 30 days.

1CFT operates a prop trading model based on evaluating trading activity and compliance with risk-management rules. Users choose a Challenge, trade on a simulated account and meet the required conditions. After completing the required stages, they may get access to a funded account.

Progressing to the funded phase does not mean receiving the account balance as one’s own or having a payout guaranteed. Traders remain subject to limits, and eligibility for a share of positive results depends on keeping the account active and meeting the programme conditions.

Before purchasing a Challenge, compare not only the account size but also the targets, loss limits, number of stages, permitted strategies and profit-split terms. The suitability of an option depends on how well these parameters fit the trader’s approach.
