Refund and reimbursement at 1CFT refer to two different ways of returning funds. A refund relates to cancelling a service purchase before the user begins using it. Reimbursement, by contrast, is a conditional return of the programme fee after the requirements for the specific account have been met.
What Is a Refund at 1CFT?
Under the 1CFT prop trading model, these terms should not be used interchangeably. A refund is governed by purchase terms, while reimbursement – also called an “Audition Fee return” in the offer table – is linked to later results and a payout in the funded phase.
How 1CFT works in this respect depends on when the request is made and which programme is involved. A refund is subject to a time limit and is no longer available once access to the service has been granted. Reimbursement is not offered on every plan and has separate conditions.
A refund is the return of a payment made for a product or service. At 1CFT, it concerns withdrawing from a distance contract, not trading results or a later payout. Refund rules are set out in a separate Refund Policy.
Under that document, users may request cancellation within 14 days of purchase, but only if they have not yet received access to the service. If the digital product or programme has already been made available in the account, no full or partial refund is issued.
This is particularly relevant to card payments. 1CFT states that access is activated automatically after successful payment. Users consent to the service starting before the 14-day period expires and lose the right to withdraw once it has been made available.
To request a refund, contact 1CFT Support by email and provide:
- Full name;
- Email address;
- Reason for the request;
- Bank account details, if needed to process the refund.
The policy states that a request is reviewed within 14 business days. A refund is made after approval and receipt of any necessary banking information. The company may refuse a request that does not meet the conditions or is considered fraudulent or abusive.
A refund is not available simply because the user:
- Could not log in for reasons within their control;
- Did not use a service after it was activated;
- Did not achieve the expected result;
- Failed the 1CFT Challenge;
- Changed their mind after receiving access to the programme.
The 14-day period therefore does not mean that every purchase can be cancelled unconditionally. It also matters whether access to the service has already been granted. In practice, review the terms for the specific programme before paying, as access may be activated as soon as the payment is complete.
A refund is therefore a purchase and contract-cancellation mechanism. It does not depend on the profit target, funded-account status or any later trading result.
What Is Reimbursement at 1CFT?
Reimbursement means a conditional return of the fee paid for a programme. In the 1CFT table, this mechanism is called “Audition Fee return”. It is not a cancellation of the purchase and is not triggered merely because the user changes their mind.
The refund may apply only at a later stage of the programme. In the standard path, the trader first passes the Challenge, then accesses the funded phase and generates a positive result. How the 1CFT Challenge works therefore matters indirectly: passing the evaluation may open the way to a funded account, but it does not itself trigger reimbursement.
The process can be outlined as follows:
- The user chooses an option that includes a fee return;
- Meets the requirements for reaching the funded phase;
- The 1CFT funded account generates a positive result;
- The trader meets the payout conditions;
- Once the required threshold is reached, the fee may be returned.
The detailed offer table shows that Audition Fee return is not available for most configurations marked “Not included”. For selected accounts, a condition for the refund is that the first payout reaches 25% of the funded account size. For example, for a 100K account, a 25% threshold would mean a payout of 25K units of the account balance.
Reimbursement should be distinguished from the 1CFT profit split. The profit split divides positive results between the trader and the company, while Audition Fee return concerns the fee paid earlier. Both mechanisms may be linked to a payout, but they apply to different amounts and have separate conditions.
There is also a discrepancy between the general description and the detailed table on the website. The general message mentions a fee return with the first profit share, while a footnote under the table specifies a threshold of 25% of the account size. Check the parameters for the specific option and confirm the current terms before purchasing.
Reimbursement is therefore not an automatic benefit of passing the Challenge. It is a conditional return of the fee, available only where the offer explicitly provides for it and after a specified threshold has been reached.
Refund vs Reimbursement at 1CFT – Key Differences
Refund and reimbursement may both result in money being returned, but they apply at different times and under different conditions. A refund concerns the purchase of a service. Reimbursement, or Audition Fee return, is part of selected prop trading programme options.
| Criteria | Refund | Reimbursement / Audition Fee return |
| When it applies | After purchase, before access to the service is granted | After entering the funded phase and meeting a payout condition |
| What is returned | Payment for a service that has not started | Fee paid for the programme |
| Timing | Request within 14 days of purchase | Depends on reaching the threshold stated in the offer |
| Connection to results | None | Direct – requires a positive result and payout |
| Availability | Under the Refund Policy, if access has not been granted | Only for options that explicitly include a fee return |
| Basis | Withdrawal from the purchase | Meeting programme conditions |
| Effect | Cancellation of the purchase and return of the approved payment | Return of the fee after reaching the required threshold |
A 1CFT funded account is not relevant to a standard refund, because that mechanism applies before the service begins. It is essential for reimbursement: only results generated in the funded phase may lead to the payout needed to meet the fee-return condition.
A refund does not depend on whether the trader can trade or has reached the profit target. Once access has been activated, subsequently failing the programme does not restore the right to withdraw from the purchase. Passing a 1CFT Challenge therefore has no bearing on refund eligibility.
For reimbursement, trading results matter directly. Passing the Challenge may open access to the funded phase, but is not enough to return the fee. Traders must meet the payout condition for an option that includes Audition Fee return.
The 1CFT profit split is also not reimbursement. The profit split determines what portion of a positive result goes to the trader, while Audition Fee return concerns a separate amount paid at the start of the programme. Both settlements may occur in connection with a payout, but they should not be treated as the same thing.
In simple terms: a refund reverses an eligible purchase before use of the service begins, while reimbursement returns the fee only after the condition specified for a particular programme has been met.
A refund concerns withdrawing from a purchase within 14 days, provided the service has not yet been made available. Reimbursement, called Audition Fee return in the table, is a conditional fee return after the required payout threshold has been reached in the funded phase. To explain what 1CFT is, keep this distinction in mind: failing the Challenge does not create a right to a refund, and passing the evaluation alone does not guarantee reimbursement.
Before purchasing, check the Refund Policy and the table for the specific programme. Audition Fee return is not available on every option, and eligibility depends on reaching the stated threshold. The two terms should not be used interchangeably.
